Las Vegas Transportation
Getting from the airport to town and exploring the city Arriving
by Air
Las Vegas is served by the McCarran International Airport (LAS). Located
just one mile from the Strip, LAS is one of the world's busiest airports.
Arriving by Car
Las Vegas is situated at the bisection of Freeway 15, which connects to
Mesquite and Salt Lake City in the north and California (Los Angeles and San Francisco
via Interstate 5) in the south.
Getting Around Las Vegas
All major hotels provide transport to and from the airport or, for that
real Vegas experience, hire a limousine; you'll find more here per capita than
in any other city in the world. Traveling by car also provides an ideal opportunity
to drive through the desert, all major car rental companies are based here. City
buses travel via the Strip into downtown and a cheap shuttle bus runs between
the major casinos and hotels 24 hours a day. |
